Morven Gallery, Barvas, Isle of Lewis. Morven Gallery lies on the far North West Coast of the British Isles where lively contemporary art work can be found displayed in the spacious, well-lit converted stone steadings. Janis Scott is the owner of this unusual gallery which faces the wild Atlantic weather and which displays the work of numerous recognised artists who share between them a love of Hebridean landscapes and seascapes. |

An Lanntair encourages and celebrates creativity in all its forms. I t has become a beacon for cultural activity in the Western Isles. It opened in Stornoway Town Hall in March 1985. Since then, from modest beginnings, it has established a reputation as one of the most dynamic small arts centres in Scotland with a distinctive cultural identity. It is particularly keen to showcase the islands' rich Gaelic cultural heritage and has received many awards for its work and exhibitions. On the 1st October 2005, following a 10 year campaign, An Lanntair’s magnificent new arts centre opened on Stornoway sea front. |
